About Us
North Ballarat Cricket Club strives to provide opportunities for all members of our community to participate in healthy, safe and inclusive cricket activities in a fun and family orientated environment. The Club is managed by dedicated volunteer staff, all of who tirelessly provide their skills, time and assistance to ensure that the Club can offer a variety of structured programs. We endeavour to create an environment that puts family values to the forefront and prides itself on acting with integrity, innovation, and teamwork.
We provide opportunities for all ages and abilities, starting with the entry level Cricket Blast program, both Boys and Girls underage Junior teams and Senior teams in the Ballarat Cricket Association, and an all genders inclusive All Abilities team in the Melbourne All Abilities Cricket Association.
Our Club
All teams play a season over 21 Saturdays incorporating approximately 80 training sessions between juniors and seniors. There are in excess of 250 contact hours for each player. There are 36 senior and 81 junior players at the club across more than 70 family groups. This represents a reach of approximately 300 players and family members. Additionally we hold 6 Club functions per year, each with average attendances of 100 club members, their families and friends. Each Saturday evening, at the completion of senior games, we also assemble for a social get-together and all important post game review.
Our Facilities
Our senior matches are well attended. They often attract crowds of 50-100 spectators and we expect this to grow throughout the 2025-26 season. The City of Ballarat has recently constructed brand new change and social facilities at our Home Venue, creating a much more social and protected environment for players and spectators alike. This compliments the extensive playing surface renovation conducted 10 years ago. The Cricket Club playing field and conditions are rated very highly throughout the competition.
